We are seeking a creative, design-focused UI/UX Analyst to establish the overall look, feel, and user experience for our digital applications. This position is focused purely on Graphic Design, Visual Arts, and UI/UX-it is not a software developer role.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Location: Lansing, MI (Candidates must be local within 90 miles at the time of application).
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Non-Negotiable).
• Onsite: Tuesdays & Wednesdays
• Remote: Mondays, Thursdays, & Fridays
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design: Create sketches, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity functioning prototypes.
• Research: Conduct user interviews, research, and create personas or journey maps.
• Accessibility: Ensure all designs conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and ADA requirements.
• Testing: Lead usability testing sessions with end-users and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Collaboration: Work with Business Analysts and Developers to advise on design standards and ADA vulnerability remediation.
  
  

Position Requirements

Core Mandatory Skills:

• 3 5 years of experience in User Interface (UI) Design.
• 3 5 years of experience conducting User Research.
• A Degree or Certification in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, UI Design, or a related field.
• Portfolio Submission: A portfolio demonstrating your design skills and project experience is strictly required.
• 2 3 professional references.
  
  

Preferred Skills (High Plus):

• Strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines and ADA testing/compliance.
• Proven experience conducting Usability Testing.
• Experience designing in alignment with established enterprise/government design standards.
  
  

Interview Process

• Format: 60-minute Virtual Interview via MS Teams (Video required, must join via laptop and be prepared to share your screen).
• Note: In-person interviews are highly preferred by the management team if possible.
