Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Processing and managing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyzing and auditing payroll data to ensure accuracy, identifying discrepancies and resolving any issues promptly.
- Creating and maintaining detailed payroll reports, providing insights and recommendations to management based on your findings.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance departments to streamline payroll processes, improve efficiency, and ensure data integrity.
- Handling all payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear, accurate, and timely responses.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant at all times.
- Participating in audits and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
- Providing training and guidance to other team members on payroll processes and reporting.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and reporting, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven expertise in analyzing and auditing payroll data, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and other related systems.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively handle payroll inquiries and communicate complex information clearly.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
