Role Overview
The Training Specialist is a professional responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that support participants in the knowledge and utilization of health information exchange services. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external participants to assess training needs, create materials, and facilitate virtual and in-person sessions to promote successful service adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in training, healthcare operations, customer support or health information technology (IT).
Technical Skills: Knowledge of health IT systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and data exchange standards is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour.
Work Environment
This role involves frequent travel across Kentucky to meet with stakeholders and attend regional events. Remote work is supported, but face-to-face engagement is essential. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Kentucky. A valid driver's license is required.

- Educate healthcare organizations on the benefits of participation while managing relationships to ensure long-term value.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs for healthcare providers and internal team members.
- Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions, webinars, and workshops for new and existing participants.
- Create and maintain training materials, user guides, presentations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assess training needs and identify opportunities to improve user understanding and the adoption of services.
- Serve as the subject matter expert regarding all services.
- Monitor training participation, collect feedback, and track performance metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Ensure training content aligns with organizational policies, HIPAA requirements, and data privacy standards.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancements in training delivery methods.
- Host educational briefings, product demonstrations, and user engagement sessions for various stakeholders.
