Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Conduct detailed tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Develop and implement effective internal control systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax calculations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors, providing necessary information and addressing any issues that may arise.
• Keep abreast of current tax practices and changes in tax law to ensure the company's compliance with all tax regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to the finance team regarding tax-related issues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or Master's in Taxation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in preparing and reviewing tax returns and conducting tax research. (Knowledge of Sales Tax, Use Tax, Property Tax, and Multi-State Tax)
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing internal control systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in the use of tax software and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
