Systems Engineer - CMOSS
Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate contract opening for a Systems Engineer to join their dynamic CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF) team and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge integrated systems solutions. As part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will contribute across all aspects of system integration - from hardware to software - helping bring complex defense systems to life.

Systems Engineer - CMOSS
Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate contract opening for a Systems Engineer to join their dynamic CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF) team and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge integrated systems solutions. As part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will contribute across all aspects of system integration - from hardware to software - helping bring complex defense systems to life.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate advanced hardware components - including Single Board Computers (SBCs), FPGAs, and GPUs - into system chassis in accordance with design documentation
- Work alongside engineers across disciplines to support full lifecycle system integration efforts
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses
- Develop system security documentation
- Provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support.
- Due to the nature of work being performed, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Requires a Bachelor''s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master''s degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, credit check and drug test prior to starting
- Problem Solving: Ability to independently isolate, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware, software, or firmware issues
- Test Development: Experience writing and executing detailed test procedures to validate system hardware and software against functional and performance requirements
- Test Automation: Familiarity with automated test scripting
- OpenVPX: Hands-on experience configuring OpenVPX chassis and cards
- Network Analysis: Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark
- Virtualization: Experience with virtual environments including VMware and Linux-based virtual devices
- CMOSS/SOSA: Familiarity with CMOSS and/or SOSA standards is a plus
