Job Description
We are seeking a PDP / Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality planning and development activities for product development programs and current production. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality planning activities for assigned commodities related to product development programs (PDP), production, and service parts.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to execute quality development activities including DPARs, FMEAs, control plans, design reviews, supplier audits, and risk assessments.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve supplier quality issues for both new product development and current production.
- Facilitate corrective action processes using the 8D methodology for supplier quality problems.
- Support execution of Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs) and Supplier Change Requests (SCRs).
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) and value improvement (VI) initiatives with suppliers.
- Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methods to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Review engineering drawings and models including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, or supply management within a design/manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and Non-Conformance Corrective Actions (NCCA).
- Ability to analyze data and perform statistical analysis to identify and solve quality issues.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Experience with Supplier Audits, DPARs, and Design Reviews.
- Knowledge of SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM systems.
- Audit experience including Process Verification Audits and Special Process Audits.
- Experience in riding lawn equipment or utility vehicle manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Technology discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
