Additionally they will be responsible for managing the PPAP, Production Part Approval Process, for their facility.

General Accountability
This position will ensure external suppliers provide high-quality materials and components that meet Manitou’s specifications They will manage the supplier lifecycle, including collaboration on supplier audits, drive corrective action for defects found at the facilities, and improve supplier processes. Additionally they will be responsible for managing the PPAP, Production Part Approval Process, for their facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Investigating supplier-related defects, performing root cause analysis, and driving implementation of corrective actions. Ensure all aspects of the issue are fully closed
- Manage corrective actions through the supplier portal
- Tracking supplier metrics (e.g., defect rates, corrective action reactivity, etc.,) and reporting performance to management.
- Manage the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for new and revised parts.
- Collaborate with Supplier Development with on-site supplier audits.
- 5 plus Years of experience in Quality, Engineering or other like professions
- Industrial background is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of fabrication, weld, paint and metallurgy is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google suite and Microsoft office tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality/Engineering/Business or related fields.
- Certified Quality Engineer is a plus
- Internal Customers: Plant Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Production and Corporate counterparts.
- External Customers: Supply base
- This position is located in Madison, SD and is 100% onsite.
- Travel up to 25%
- Compensation: $67,500 – $112,500 plus PPI Bonus
- Work location: Madison, South Dakota
- Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
