The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with storage infrastructure, backup solutions, cloud platforms, and virtualization technologies, along with strong troubleshooting and automation skills.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 operational support for storage and tape systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve storage-related issues
- Manage and maintain SAN, NAS, and storage virtualization environments
- Support backup and data protection processes (snapshots, replication, recovery)
- Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and reporting
- Work with Azure/AWS cloud storage platforms
- Support VMware, Nutanix, or KVM environments
- Automate tasks using Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation and SOPs
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in storage or infrastructure support
- Strong knowledge of:
- SAN / NAS / Storage Virtualization
- Backup & recovery solutions (Commvault preferred)
- Data protection (snapshot, replication)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with VMware / Nutanix / KVM
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell)
- Understanding of storage standards, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with enterprise backup tools (Commvault)
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proactive mindset with focus on system reliability and performance
- Willingness to support on-call and weekend activities
