You'll help design and build scalable, high-performance applications across the full stack, with a strong focus on backend architecture. This is a great opportunity to work with modern technologies while influencing technical direction and mentoring other engineers.
What You'll Do
- Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js, GraphQL, and Java/Kotlin (Spring Boot)
- Develop and maintain modern, responsive frontend applications using React
- Optimize and manage PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability
- Lead architecture discussions, design decisions, and code reviews
- Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices
- Partner closely with product teams to define features and delivery timelines
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges across the full stack
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5-10 years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience across backend, frontend, and databases
- Node.js and server-side JavaScript
- Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot
- GraphQL (schema design and performance optimization)
- React (advanced patterns, state management, performance tuning)
- PostgreSQL (query optimization, schema design)
- Solid understanding of software design patterns and system architecture
- Prisma ORM, JPA, database migrations
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
- CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or regulated industries
- Work on high-impact technology that directly improves lives
