Overview
This individual will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across custom development, SaaS applications, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader who can drive execution, manage detailed budgets, and adapt to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects, including eCommerce initiatives.
- Manage both custom in-house development and SaaS-based solutions across cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred, Oracle exposure a plus) and on-prem environments.
- Drive sprint planning and execution as needed (no formal Scrum Master role required but must be comfortable operating in Agile environments).
- Oversee complex budgeting activities, including purchase orders, invoices, CapEx vs. OpEx tracking, and plan vs. budget vs. actuals analysis.
- Maintain detailed financial oversight using Excel and related reporting tools.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams and leadership to ensure alignment and delivery success.
- Foster a highly collaborative team environment - stepping beyond strict role definitions to ensure overall team success.
- 7 - 8 years of Project management experience (senior-level ownership of large initiatives).
- Strong background in software development project management (not infrastructure-focused).
- Retail industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing eCommerce-related projects.
- Proven expertise managing project budgets, financial tracking, and forecasting.
- Experience working in Agile environments and running sprint ceremonies when needed.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial and budget tracking.
- PMP Certification is strongly preferred.
- Agile certification is a plus.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Oracle Cloud environments
- Collaborative, adaptable, and team oriented.
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves and contributing beyond a rigid job description.
- Financially disciplined and detail-oriented with budgeting.
- Able to work effectively across time zones (team operates in EST but open nationally)
