Currently, we are searching for a Senior IT Operations & Controls Administrator to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.

This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire role that sits onsite (5 days/week) in the Bessemer, AL area.

Day To Day Responsibilities

• Own and operationalize the organization s IT governance and control framework, including access management, change management, and operational controls aligned to SOX, SOC, and NIST standards
• Perform hands-on IT operations and control execution initially (access reviews, evidence collection, audits), while designing scalable SOPs, control calendars, and accountability models
• Serve as the senior IT operations lead, ensuring stability, security, and reliability across a Microsoft cloud-centric environment
• Oversee day-to-day performance of internal IT support resources and third-party managed service providers, holding vendors accountable for outcomes and service quality
• Partner closely with Information Security leadership to translate compliance and risk requirements into real-world operational processes
• Prepare the IT function to scale for future growth, including IPO-readiness and increasing regulatory expectations
• Act as a trusted on-site IT presence for a production-facing manufacturing environment, supporting mission-critical systems and reporting
  
  

Position Requirements

• 7 years of progressive IT operations, systems administration, or IT governance experience with demonstrated ownership and accountability
• Hands-on experience operating within mature IT control environments (SOX, SOC, IT or similar), not just checklist-based compliance
• Strong background in IT operations including identity and access management, change management, vendor oversight, and infrastructure reliability
• Ability to balance strategic control design with roll-up-your-sleeves execution in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Experience working in Microsoft-based ecosystems (M365, Azure/Entra, SharePoint, D365, PowerBI, Power Automate)
• Comfortable engaging directly with executive leadership and operating independently without constant oversight
• Bonus: experience in high-growth, manufacturing, or pre-IPO organizations; familiarity with NIST, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks
