Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Solutions Architect. This role involves reviewing and advising on code across multiple internal teams, with a strong focus on performance tuning and best practices. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, helping teams identify and resolve issues in their codebases to ensure stability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews for applications utilizing Hadoop clusters
• Review and analyze Spark code submitted by various teams
• Provide performance tuning recommendations
• Consult with internal teams to identify and resolve code issues
• Act as a subject matter expert in SQL/Teradata and performance optimization
• Guide teams in developing scalable and efficient solutions
  
  

Technical Skills Required (6 years of experience)

• SQL / Teradata
• Python
• General database expertise
• Experience in solution design and consulting
  
  

Technical Skills Preferred

• Hadoop
• Java
• AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar
  
  

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
• Adaptability to work with diverse teams and evolving technologies
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Education & Experience

• 6 years of relevant experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
