We are seeking a highly skilled Anchor Software Engineer to join a global enterprise team supporting critical Health & Safety applications. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, where you will actively code while guiding architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence.
As an Anchor Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, microservices-based applications while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile/XP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead system architecture, design decisions, and technical strategy
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications (Angular/React Java/Python/C#)
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Drive engineering best practices, including TDD and clean coding standards
- Own and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (Google Cloud Platform/OpenShift)
- Ensure application security and compliance (PII/SPII handling)
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a collaborative team environment
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable and user-centric solutions
- 5 8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong backend expertise in:
- Java (Spring Boot / Spring Cloud)
- Python or C#
- Frontend experience with:
- Angular (preferred), React, or Vue.js
- Strong experience with:
- Microservices & REST API development
- Google Cloud Platform and OpenShift
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Tekton, Maven, Gradle
- Database experience:
- Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with Extreme Programming (XP), TDD, and pair programming
- Familiarity with Liquibase (schema migrations)
- Knowledge of OAuth / Entra ID authentication
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence
- Exposure to secure coding and compliance standards
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Work on enterprise-scale global applications
