Position: Snowflake Project Manager

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada (Onsite)

Duration: 8-10 Months with Extension

Rate: $58-$60/Hr CAD all-inc

The Snowflake Project Manager manages complex, high-impact data platform modernization initiatives using Snowflake s data cloud. Key responsibilities include driving end-to-end delivery of data migrations, optimizing data provisioning workflows, managing cross-functional technical teams, and implementing scalable data solutions.

You will interface with IT Teams and cross functional Business Teams, taking ownership of the end-to-end delivery of the data product/pipelines, such as:

• Building robust and scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks and PySpark.
• Embracing automation, reduce cost, and human dependencies wherever possible.
• Building frameworks and reusable components.
• Ensuring a product development mindset is brought into every aspect of your team s data engineering development activities.
  
  

Core Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Drive end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects from requirements gathering to UAT and go-live.
• Data Modernization: Oversee the migration and modernization of client data platforms to leverage Snowflake.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, data architects, and internal stakeholders to define technical scope and priorities.
• Methodology & Tools: Utilize Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies, leveraging tools like Jira, Smartsheet, or Wrike to track progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Process Improvement: Optimize data pipelines and business processes by recommending and implementing scalable solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 4 6 years of progressive project management experience.
• Technical Familiarity: Deep understanding of data technologies, including data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and SQL. Experience with Databricks and PySpark. Exposure with at least one of the DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab. Demonstrated experience working with large volume data.
• Platform Knowledge: Previous experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is highly preferred.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage large-scale initiatives, project roadmaps, and stakeholder communication. Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
