Job Title: Senior SQL Database Administrator

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid onsite Tue/Wed) - Only local candidates.

Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in SQL Server administration, database development, and performance optimization to support critical business systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer multiple Microsoft SQL Server databases across large-scale systems
• Develop and maintain SQL-based applications, stored procedures, and scripts
• Perform proactive monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of databases
• Ensure database security and compliance (internal and external access)
• Collaborate with developers and business teams on database solutions
• Maintain clear documentation of database processes, configurations, and changes
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Required minimum 8 years of experience in database administration/management.
• Expertise in SQL Server administration, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
• Proven experience with database performance monitoring and optimization.
• 5 years of experience developing SQL applications (Windows and/or Web-based)
• SQL Server certification preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
