Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC Irving ,TX, Phoenix , AZ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DB Automation Tester with expertise in UFT (Unified Functional Testing) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building out our Genesys Infomart automation bed, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through effective test automation strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of database testing and automation frameworks, along with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using UFT for database applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand application functionalities.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Document test cases, test results, and defect reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide training and support to team members on automation best practices and tools.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation and database testing.
  
  

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in test automation using QTP/UFT.
• Strong knowledge of database testing concepts and SQL.
• Experience in developing and executing automated test scripts for complex applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Genesys Infomart or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of other automation tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of performance testing and load testing concepts.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software testing or automation are a plus..
