Senior Program Manager Data Governance

Location: Charlotte, NC / New Jersey (NJ) / Connecticut (CT)

Duration: 9 Months Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager Data Governance to lead and drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and program execution capabilities to ensure successful implementation of data governance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large-scale Data Governance programs across the organization
• Define program roadmap, strategy, and execution plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Business units
• Drive implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Manage program timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
• Provide regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Drive data quality, metadata management, and data stewardship initiatives
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in Program/Project Management with a focus on Data Governance
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality frameworks
• Proven experience managing enterprise-level programs
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Banking or Financial Services industry
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, CCPA, GDPR)
• Experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
• PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred
