Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Performance Quality Engineer in Westlake, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Embed integrated performance testing into CI pipelines to ensure early feedback during the development lifecycle using the Performance Self-Service Framework
- Lead application-level performance testing efforts, including scope definition, execution, monitoring, and remediation of performance issues
- Support initiatives such as Chaos Testing, SRE Performance Governance Gateways, and the Engineering Excellence Maturity Model Framework
- Continuously enhance technical skills and mentor senior engineers across the team
- Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing processes within the performance testing shared service
- Manage project status updates, initiate stakeholder discussions to resolve issues, and collaborate directly with users to define project requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance testing and delivery workflows
- BS/MS in CS, IT, or related field
- 10 years of experience in performance testing
- Expert in JMeter, Jenkins, and CI/CD
- AWS experience (EKS, S3, IAM, etc.)
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
- Grafana/InfluxDB for test reporting
- GitHub/Bitbucket version control
- Splunk & Datadog monitoring tools
- Led enterprise-wide performance initiatives
- Technical leadership experience
- Strong systems architecture knowledge
- Agile testing (Kanban, Scrum)
- Automated tests via Jenkins
- API/UI testing with Selenium & JMeter
- Cloud provisioning with Terraform/CloudFormation
- Self-directed project ownership
- Proactive tool/process improvement
