Talent Groups is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead a large scale enterprise cloud transformation supporting a commercial aviation program. This is a highly visible, hands on role focused on migrating approximately 1300 VMware workloads from an on premises data center to AWS.
This role requires deep expertise in enterprise networking, advanced AWS architecture, and VMware NSX T, along with the ability to act as a neutral technical authority in a multi vendor environment.

Talent Groups is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead a large scale enterprise cloud transformation supporting a commercial aviation program. This is a highly visible, hands on role focused on migrating approximately 1300 VMware workloads from an on premises data center to AWS.
This role requires deep expertise in enterprise networking, advanced AWS architecture, and VMware NSX T, along with the ability to act as a neutral technical authority in a multi vendor environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of multi account AWS landing zone networking
- Architect Layer 2 extension strategies from on premises to AWS with phased retirement
- Map and rationalize 89 VLANs into a 50 plus VPC AWS topology
- Design Zerto based replication for migration and disaster recovery with bidirectional failback
- Drive EVS integration with AWS native networking
- Define hybrid DNS across on premises and AWS
- Establish network security across NSX T and AWS environments
- Develop migration wave plans and cutover runbooks
- Partner with executive stakeholders and defend architectural decisions
- Contribute hands on to engineering and implementation as needed
- Cisco Dual CCIE, lab certified. One must be Data Center or Enterprise Infrastructure
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty and Solutions Architect Professional, both active
- VMware VCDX NV preferred or VCAP NV Design with strong NSX T experience
Enterprise Networking (15 years)
- Cisco data center technologies including VXLAN, EVPN, Nexus, ACI
- Layer 2 extension including OTV, VXLAN, NSX L2VPN, MPLS based L2VPN
- Routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS at scale
- Multicast routing and enterprise DNS
- NSX T deployments and microsegmentation at scale
- vSphere distributed switching
- VMware HCX including network extension
- Experience with EVS, VMC, or similar platforms
- Multi account environments using Organizations and Control Tower
- Transit Gateway at scale with 50 plus VPC attachments
- Direct Connect architecture including LAG and VIFs
- Shared VPC and hybrid DNS with Route 53 Resolver
- AWS Network Firewall or similar
- iSCSI and NFS at scale for VMware
- Experience with FSx ONTAP, Pure Cloud Block Store, or similar
- Led at least two enterprise VMware to cloud migrations with 500 plus workloads
- Zerto or HCX in production
- Network dependency mapping tools such as Illumio or vRNI
- Bidirectional replication and failback design
- Strong technical leader who can influence stakeholders and vendors
- Comfortable in complex, high stakes enterprise environments
- Able to balance architecture, strategy, and hands on execution
