Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing and interpreting two-dimensional drawings to understand project requirements.
- Utilizing BlueBeam and other industry-standard tools to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Analyzing labor costs, the cost of equipment, and other construction-related expenses to develop accurate and comprehensive construction cost estimates.
- Preparing and submitting RFQs, tracking bids, and working closely with project managers to ensure project goals are met.
- Developing written proposals and presenting them to clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiating contracts and cost estimates to ensure the best outcome for the company.
- Applying your knowledge of building construction to create realistic project timelines and budgets.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure design-build projects are completed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Estimator role will have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in a senior role.
- Proficiency in BlueBeam or equivalent software.
- Demonstrated experience with base building construction projects.
- Proven ability to interpret two-dimensional drawings.
- Experience in preparing RFQs, tracking bids, and working with project managers.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful cost estimation.
- In-depth knowledge of building construction, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Experience in developing written proposals and presenting them to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
