Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of relevant IT experience in data engineering or related disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with management, business and IT stakeholders, and technical teams using appropriate language for each audience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
- Proficient in relational database modeling concepts and techniques.
- Experience supporting and working in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
- Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and scalable data architectures.
- Working knowledge of application and data security concepts, best practices, and awareness of common vulnerabilities.
- Preferred experience in one or more of the following:
- Modern data platform technologies and scalable data architectures
- Metadata management tools/products
- ETL tools and data integration platforms
- Data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Data warehousing solutions
- Version control systems (e.g., Git)
- CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation, and virtualization tools
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- REST API design and development
- Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
- Prior experience in the financial industry, particularly with Regulatory Reporting, is an advantage.
