Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions across modern data platforms. This role involves building and optimizing datasets, performing advanced analytics, and delivering actionable, executive-level insights.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Python, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau. Experience leveraging AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity and analytics workflows is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries across SQL Server, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Design and maintain analytics-ready data models (star schema, dimensional modeling, curated datasets).
• Build, enhance, and optimize dashboards using Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and Tableau.
• Utilize Python (pandas, NumPy, optional ML libraries) for data processing, statistical analysis, automation, and forecasting.
• Implement robust data validation and quality checks (reconciliation, anomaly detection, monitoring).
• Develop solutions within Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, semantic models).
• Leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI tools to:
• Accelerate SQL/DAX development
• Enhance dashboard creation and storytelling
• Generate documentation and data dictionaries
• Support stakeholder queries and self-service analytics
• Communicate insights effectively through clear storytelling and executive presentations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including data definitions, lineage, and operational processes.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Consulting.
• Advanced expertise in SQL (CTEs, window functions, query optimization).
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL) and performance tuning.
• Experience working with Snowflake (data modeling, optimization, cost management).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, pipelines, semantic models).
• Strong dashboarding experience with Power BI and Tableau.
• Proficiency in Python for analytics and automation.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) with proper validation practices.
