Job Overview:
- Draft group and individual contracts, including indemnity and HMO contracts and certificates for risk and self-insured accounts.
- File all required forms with Insurance Administrations and regulatory agencies to ensure legal compliance.
- Respond to inquiries from Insurance Administrations and complete assigned surveys.
- Handle escalated inquiries from internal departments including appeals, audits, and executive inquiries.
- Research and interpret local and federal regulations related to contracts and benefits.
- Develop and maintain production forms, implementation documentation, and detailed instructions.
- Audit contracts and documentation to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies with relevant departments.
- Participate in operational meetings and company initiatives impacting contracts and compliance.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure adherence to terms, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Interpret benefit provisions and resolve complex contract-related issues in collaboration with legal and policy teams.
- Review and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and other non-standard account requests.
- Develop and implement customized contract language and production forms.
- Review internal and external communications to ensure alignment with contract terms and integrity.
- Provide input on product design and changes in collaboration with marketing and product development teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health insurance benefits, product knowledge, benefits delivery systems, or contract management.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and escalations.
- Conduct audits and maintain accuracy of contract documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for contract implementation and issue resolution.
