Required Skills
- Strong experience in COBOL development (Batch & CICS)
- Hands-on expertise with CICS, MVS, JCL, and DB2
- Experience with Endevor (component management, packaging, migration)
- Performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications
- Code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience with VSAM files
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong experience in unit testing, system testing, and integration testing
- Experience in production support and issue resolution
- Familiarity with JIRA for tracking tasks and updates
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 12 15 years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience working in mainframe environments
- Strong experience in financial domain applications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience with lending systems and financial processes
- Understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance
- Experience with Intertest or Expediter debugging tools
- Background in student loan industry (preferred)
- Experience with test data setup, test plans, and documentation
- Experience in software security impact analysis and migration documentation
