Duties:
- Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or Financial Reporting teams
- Strong understanding of financial data and reporting concepts, including:
- Revenue, billing, and financial reporting structures
- Forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Actuals vs. plan reporting
- Financial reconciliation and data validation
- Experience working with financial systems and integrating data from ERP or related platforms
- Ability to design and support financial reporting dashboards and datasets used by:
- Finance leadership
- FP&A teams
- Accounting and reporting functions
- Comfortable working with imperfect or evolving financial data, ensuring accuracy through modeling, validation, and documentation
- Build and maintain clean, reliable data models using SQL and DBT to support sales and revenue reporting
- Partner with Finance to define metrics and turn business needs into usable datasets
- Monitor and improve data quality, troubleshooting issues across CRM and upstream systems
- Support dashboards and reporting used by leadership to track performance and drive decisions
- Document models and collaborate with engineering teams to improve data pipelines, processes, and overall data flow
- Five or more years of experience as a true Analytics Engineer (wants to see true analytics title for at least 5 years)
- English as first language is a MUST – clear communication as they will be working with stakeholders
- Finance / Financial reporting-based project experience – working knowledge supporting that type of business unit
- DBT 3 years of experience
- EXPERT in SQL
- Knowledge of BI tools (they use Tableau, but they have their own devs so any reporting tool is fine)
- Medallion architecture (bronze silver gold)
- Enterprise data warehouse modeling concepts
