- Experience assessing, recommending, and determining eligibility for grant funding.
- Experience in administrative support, customer service, and program coordination.
- Experience managing shared inboxes, inquiries, complaints, and case tracking.
- Experience with data entry, reporting, and financial or program operations support.
- Experience with database testing and data conversion testing in a large-scale enterprise environment.

- Assess, recommend, and determine eligibility for grant funding.
- Advise grant recipients when they do not meet funding conditions and explain what is required to meet eligibility criteria.
- Identify delivery and payment issues and recommend resolution options to management.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with accepted practices and within guidelines prescribed by financial legislation and Ministerial policy and procedures.
- Provide efficient and effective customer service to licensed child care programs, early childhood educators.
- Address questions and recommend solutions related to grant funding.
- Assist child care operators in navigating the online Early Childhood Development System (ECDS) portal to review, complete, and sign grant agreements.
- Review Affordability Grant agreement Schedule A fees to assess eligibility in line with internal processes and standards.
- Communicate with child care operators to obtain necessary evidence in support of fees and assess submitted documentation to prepare recommendations.
- Complete accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting of professional development and release time assessments and expenditures for early childhood educators.
- Monitor multiple shared inboxes to organize, track, and address inquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Generate and analyze reports and assist with program and financial operations and strategic direction.
- Provide advice, information, and direction regarding various grants.
- Provide training to new team members.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for grants to ensure continuous program improvement.
- Make recommendations for revisions to current policy and service delivery processes.
- Identify implications and potential impacts on provincial Early Learning and Child Care programs.
- Interpret policy, standards, and guidelines related to grants to support licensing and departmental staff.
- Collect and research information for the preparation of briefing notes and action requests.
- Research similar programs in other jurisdictions and recommend program enhancements.
- Participate in best practices meetings to ensure stakeholder concerns are heard and program objectives are communicated.
- Identify system issues related to CCIS, the ECDS portal, and Access databases and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the development, design, testing, and implementation of new provincial systems.
- Manage and respond to complaints related to grants.
- Review incoming complaints and determine the most appropriate course of action, consulting with the Grant Specialist when necessary.
- Request additional information to investigate complaints.
- Assist with complaint investigation and resolution processes.
- Refer complaints as required.
- Delegate administrative work to support staff as required.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Experience working with the Childcare Licensing Portal and Child Care Information System.
- Proven ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely information to diverse childcare stakeholders, including parents, early childhood educators, and childcare providers.
