The client seeks an experienced engineer that both deploys and administers Check Point security gateways, including VSX. They should have extensive experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Check Point firewalls within a complex enterprise environment. This person will be responsible for administering and simplifying the Check Point rulebase, while optimizing its utilization to meet business requirements, and improve visibility while ensuring security best practices are followed. The Check Point Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing policies to support enterprise security strategies. They must be able to serve as a subject matter expert on Cisco data center network technologies and their interaction with Check Point security gateways. This role requires collaboration with Security, IT, and business stakeholders to test and validate security protections, including IPS, geoblocking, and QoS in addition to day-to-day firewall administration.

Job Duties
This engineer will be responsible for:
- Deploying, administering and supporting Check Point security gateways, Cisco Secure Firewall, and Cisco ASA to support security requirements and best practices.
- 10 years of experience deploying and administering Check Point security gateways.
- 10 years of experience administering and deploying Cisco data center networking products.
- 5 years of experience administering and deploying Check Point VSX.
- Experience administering and operating Check Point r82.
- Previous or current Check Point and/or Cisco Certifications.
- Experience deploying and administering Cisco Remote Access VPN solutions.
- Experience deploying and administering Cisco FirePower.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with identified IT and business stakeholders.
- Ability to train IT staff for ongoing administration of the product.
