Role: Scrum Master

Location: Onsite, Jersey city, NJ

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide Agile teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. The Scrum Master will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, promote Agile best practices, and ensure effective collaboration between cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
• Remove blockers and impediments affecting team productivity and sprint delivery.
• Work closely with Product Owners to manage product backlog and sprint priorities.
• Track sprint progress, velocity, burndown charts, and delivery metrics.
• Foster communication and collaboration across development, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
• Support release planning and coordinate dependencies across teams.
• Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and organizational standards.
• Drive continuous process improvements and team maturity.
• Prepare Agile project status reports and stakeholder updates.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and Agile delivery processes.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and remove team impediments.
• Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or SAFe certification preferred.
• Experience in Agile transformation initiatives is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices is an advantage.
  
  

Experience

• 5 years of overall IT experience.
• 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.

• SAFe Agile experience
• Kanban knowledge
• Release management exposure
• Banking/Healthcare/Retail domain experience
