Are you a hands-on Engineer with a passion for product robustness and design for reliability? We are looking for a Senior Reliability Test Engineer to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. This role is critical to the reliability enhancement and V&V compliance of our Valeda product line.You will be the bridge between design and durability, ensuring our medical devices meet the highest standards for performance, safety, and longevity.
π Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Plan and execute HALT, ALT, environmental, transportation, and life testing.
- Automation & Robotics: Develop and run automated test scripts and LabView/Python programs to stress-test hardware and PCBAs.
- NPI Support: Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to identify pre-verification characterization needs and drive design improvements.
- Cross-Functional Analysis: Review product designs using statistical analysis, stress testing, and simulation to support Design for Reliability (DfR) objectives.
- Compliance & QMS: Ensure all activities align with GMP/QSR regulations and support lab equipment calibration and HSE/Laser safety standards.
- Qualified: BS (5 years) or MS (3 years) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Industry Veteran: At least 3 years of focused R&D experience in New Product Reliability within the Medical Device sector.
- Technically Versatile: Proven knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical design principles.
- Software Savvy: Practical experience with LabView, Python, or R, plus familiarity with CAN bus and Ethernet protocols.
- The "Maker" Mindset: Experience in fixturing, lab testing methods, and Robotics or equipment validation.
- Communicator: Strong ability to document RCR reports and V&V activities grounded in solid science.
