Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects aligned with strategic initiatives
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities, timelines, and resources
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports using tools such as MS Project
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams, external vendors, and agency stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Facilitate regular project meetings, including status updates, risk reviews, and stakeholder communications
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure projects remain within scope, budget, and timeline constraints
- Provide clear and consistent reporting to executive leadership and program stakeholders
- Support procurement processes and vendor management activities, including performance tracking and deliverable oversight
- Ensure compliance with State policies, standards, and documentation requirements
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects, preferably within State or public sector environments
- Strong experience coordinating across multiple vendors and stakeholder groups
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and other project tracking/reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and project scope
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly visible environment
- Experience with health and human services systems or government program modernization efforts
- Familiarity with PMO processes and governance structures
- Experience supporting RFPs, vendor onboarding, and contract management
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
- Comfortable working in highly regulated and structured environments
