We are seeking a Principal EPM Consultant a recognized expert and trusted advisor who brings 15 years of enterprise performance management experience to complex, high-stakes engagements. This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role, working directly with C-suite and VP-level finance and IT stakeholders at Bay Area s leading technology, biotech, and enterprise companies.
You will serve as the senior-most technical and functional authority on Oracle Cloud EPM programs, with deep expertise across EPBCS, EDMCS, ARCS, and/or FCCS. You will own delivery accountability for large-scale multi-module EPM transformations and drive the growth of our Bay Area practice.

You will serve as the senior-most technical and functional authority on Oracle Cloud EPM programs, with deep expertise across EPBCS, EDMCS, ARCS, and/or FCCS. You will own delivery accountability for large-scale multi-module EPM transformations and drive the growth of our Bay Area practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical and functional authority on Oracle Cloud EPM programs, overseeing solution design across EPBCS, EDMCS, ARCS, and FCCS.
- Own end-to-end delivery accountability for large-scale, multi-module EPM transformations from discovery and blueprint through go-live and value realization.
- Act as the primary escalation point and executive sponsor liaison for key client accounts in the Bay Area region.
- Drive practice development: contribute to methodologies, accelerators, point-of-view documents, and internal knowledge repositories.
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 8 EPM consultants across engagements, providing technical oversight and career development guidance.
- Support business development through solution demos, RFP responses, and C-suite workshop facilitation.
- Maintain awareness of Oracle EPM product roadmap and advise clients on upgrade strategy, new features, and AI/ML-assisted planning capabilities.
- EPBCS Deep expertise across all modules: Financials, Workforce, Capital, Projects, and Strategic Modeling. Ability to architect multi-entity, multi-currency planning solutions for enterprise clients with complex driver-based models.
- EDMCS Mastery of enterprise data governance, hierarchy management, request workflows, dimension sharing across EPM applications, and integration with ERP/source systems.
- ARCS End-to-end delivery of Account Reconciliation and Transaction Matching implementations; compliance framework design; integration with Oracle ERP and third-party GL systems.
- FCCS Comprehensive consolidation architecture including intercompany eliminations, ownership management, currency translation, journal entries, and SEC/IFRS/GAAP reporting structures.
- Advanced proficiency in Groovy scripting, EPM Automate, REST APIs, and Data Integration / FDMEE pipeline design.
- Strong grasp of EPM infrastructure: OCI, identity management, security model design, and performance tuning.
- 15 years of progressive EPM consulting or in-house EPM leadership experience, with a minimum of 8 years on Oracle EPM platforms (Hyperion on-prem and/or Oracle Cloud EPM).
- Demonstrated track record delivering 10 full-lifecycle Oracle EPM implementations, including at least 3 in a lead or architect capacity.
- Deep functional knowledge of FP&A, financial consolidation, management reporting, and the Office of the CFO ideally including time in finance roles or at clients with $1B revenue.
- Proven ability to manage executive relationships, navigate organizational complexity, and present solutions to CFOs, Controllers, and Boards.
- Prior Big 4, Oracle Partner (Platinum/Gold), or top-tier EPM consultancy experience strongly preferred.
- Oracle EPM Cloud certifications required; Oracle ACE or equivalent recognition a strong plus.
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS, or related field required; MBA or CPA a significant advantage.
- Executive presence comfortable presenting, debating trade-offs, and driving decisions at VP/C-suite level.
- Strong written communication skills for architecture documents, proposals, and board-ready deliverables.
- Ability to simultaneously manage competing priorities across multiple active client engagements.

- Background in financial services, biotech, semiconductor, or SaaS common verticals in the Bay Area market.
- Exposure to Anaplan, OneStream, or Adaptive Insights for competitive positioning discussions.
- Experience with AI/ML-assisted planning features in Oracle EPM (predictive planning, anomaly detection).
