Seeking skills to perform the following: a Power Platform–based architecture. Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate and Power Apps Canvas.
The proposed architecture:
Source Data Landing Zone: Can be SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure SQL or Fabric
Data Ingestion and Transformation: The primary ingestion and transformation layer should be Power BI Dataflows using Power Query and Dataverse. Dataflows should automatically read files from the designated folder location and perform the transformation steps currently done manually in Excel.
Expected Architecture Pattern: The proposed end-to-end architecture should generally follow this pattern:
Source systems provide financial data to the solution
Refresh Automation and Orchestration: Refresh of the ingestion layer should be automated. At minimum, scheduled refresh should support the monthly forecasting cycle. Where the organization wants processing to begin automatically when a new file appears in the landing folder, Power Automate should act as the orchestration layer.
Governed Business Data Layer: The architecture should separate analytical data from user-entered business data. Transformed actuals and curated datasets produced by dataflows should feed the analytical model.
Application Layer (Power Apps): The primary application interface for business users should be a Power Apps Canvas app.
Scenario Input Integration with Analytics: Scenario assumptions entered through the Canvas app should be written to Dataverse tables.
Forecast Calculation Layer: The Power BI semantic model should be the primary location for the forecasting calculations and business logic currently embedded in Excel.
Reporting and Analysis: Power BI reports and dashboards should serve as the primary reporting layer for the modernized solution.
