Platform and Governance Lead Architect

POP: 12 months
Location: Remote, Required to travel to DC area for occasional meetings

SCOPE
Serve as the lead technical authority responsible for the overall governance, management, and architectural integrity of the ServiceNow platform.
Required Skills
- Must possess an active Secret or TS clearance
- ServiceNow Certified Master Architect.
- Significant professional background (typically 7 years, including 3 years in governance/architecture), preferably in DoW/Federal environments (e.g., IL5).
- Deep understanding of platform data architecture, security best practices, performance tuning, and robust stakeholder advisory skills for continuous improvement.
- Establish and enforce platform standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent, secure, and scalable deployments across the organization.
- Provide strategic oversight of platform lifecycle management, guide the adoption of best practices, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize platform enhancements, oversee platform health and performance, and mentor team members on governance and architectural principles to support successful ServiceNow operations and continuous improvement.
- Ensure quality expectations are defined and known across the team.
- Collaborate with the team in scheduling work, including defect remediation and refactoring, guarding against the accumulation of technical debt.
