Job Title: Network Architect

Job Location- Austin, Texas-Hybrid

Interview mode- In person/MS Teams

Role Summary

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures
• Support cloud transformation initiatives with hybrid and multi-cloud networking strategies
• Ensure seamless integration between on-premises environments and cloud-native services
• Translate business objectives into technical network solutions through analysis and documentation
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Business & Systems Analysis

• Understand business objectives and operational challenges
• Identify alternative technical solutions and perform feasibility and cost/benefit analyses
• Analyze user requirements, workflows, and procedures to automate or improve existing systems
• Confer with personnel across organizational units to analyze current operational procedures
• Identify system, network, and process gaps and recommend improvements
• Document input/output requirements, data flows, reporting formats, and system dependencies
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, network functions, and implementation steps
• Review system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling constraints to determine feasibility of changes
  
  

Network Architecture & Engineering

• Architect and implement hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments
• Design secure, high-performance network architectures meeting compliance and governance requirements
• Define and enforce routing, segmentation, and firewall policies aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support migrations and optimization
• Establish network governance standards, reference architectures, and best practices
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies
• Ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance optimization for mission-critical workloads
  
  

Minimum Requirements

Candidate Skills and Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in network architecture across AWS and on-premises environments
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and network segmentation
• Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)
• Expertise in network security principles, including encryption, identity, and compliance frameworks
• Proven experience designing high availability, load balancing, and failover strategies
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD integration
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and advanced security models
• Exposure to SD-WAN technologies
• Experience with network observability and monitoring tools (NetFlow, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
• Understanding of cloud networking cost optimization strategies
• Relevant certifications (AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate)
