Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mid-Level UX/UI Developer - Contractor. This is a remote contract opportunity with the exception of the first week, which will be onsite in San Antonio, TX.
Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned UX/UI Developer to design and deliver intuitive, high-impact user experiences supporting the modernization of operations and brokerage tools within a large financial services organization. In this role, you will translate complex, high-volume workflows into clean, user-centered interfaces that enable operations teams to work more efficiently and accurately.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, operations stakeholders, and engineering teams to design, prototype, and build scalable UI solutions that meet enterprise standards for usability, performance, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement UI/UX solutions for the modernization of internal operations and brokerage platforms
- Translate complex financial and operational workflows (e.g., DVP/RVP, cost basis, reconciliations) into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
- Partner with product managers, operations users, and engineers to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and iterate on designs
- Conduct usability testing, analyze feedback, and refine wireframes, prototypes, and final UI implementations
- Build and maintain reusable UI components using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js, aligned with enterprise design standards and frameworks
- Develop interactive dashboards and responsive user experiences tailored to internal personas, including trade analysts and operations associates
- Ensure designs and implementations meet accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility standards
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- 6-9 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development, preferably in enterprise or regulated environments
- Strong proficiency with Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business workflows into clear, effective user experiences
- Solid understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG), performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience conducting usability testing and incorporating user feedback into iterative design improvements
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience within financial services, brokerage, or capital markets environments
- Familiarity with enterprise design systems and component-based UI architecture
- Background designing tools for internal, high-volume operational users
