We are seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to support a high-visibility, mission-critical initiative. We are seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to support a high-visibility, mission-critical initiative. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in cybersecurity who are ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to the protection of vital systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor computer networks for potential security threats and vulnerabilities
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches
- Document incidents and assess the scope and impact of security events
- Collaborate with the security team to conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Remediate identified vulnerabilities to uphold a high-security posture
- Recommend and implement IT security best practices, including the deployment of firewalls and encryption technologies
- Perform forensic analysis, validate intrusion data, and create secure duplicates of compromised files
- Decrypt data and deliver technical summaries and insights
- Analyze recovered data using techniques such as timeline reconstruction, statistical analysis, and file signature review
- Provide real-time cyber defense support and assist deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs)
- Splunk Enterprise Security experience
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
