The selected candidate will set up and operate pilot and production equipment, move raw material and finished trial units through the work area, follow standard work and build instructions, complete in-process quality checks, and support safe, efficient day-to-day operations. The successful candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working around manufacturing equipment, and committed to quality, safety, and consistent output.

Responsibilities:
- Supports the project through hands-on operation of shop and pilot equipment to build market trial material
- Work safely every day by following all plant, shop, lockout/tagout, PPE, and material handling requirements and by keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust trial production equipment and shop tools to build, assemble, trim, stage, and package market trial material to specification.
- Perform in-process checks on dimensions, appearance, labeling, and material condition; record production data; identify nonconforming material; and communicate equipment or process issues to leads and engineers.
- Support equipment setup, changeovers, basic troubleshooting, material movement, and trial run readiness while working closely with engineering, product development, and manufacturing to improve repeatability and throughput.
- Reliable, self-directed work habits with strong attention to safety, quality, housekeeping, and daily production needs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability and willingness to work safely in a manufacturing, pilot line, or shop environment around moving equipment and materials
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating, adjusting, and learning shop, fabrication, and pilot production equipment
- Ability to follow standard work, read build instructions and basic drawings, complete production records, and safely use hand tools and shop equipment
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, wood products, composites, or other hands-on industrial production environments
- Experience supporting pilot lines, trial runs, prototypes, process development, or low-volume manufacturing builds
- Experience operating saws, cutters, presses, fastening tools, measuring equipment, hoists, forklifts, or other shop and light industrial equipment is preferred
- Residential jobsite construction / carpentry experience
