Job Summary

Belcan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and integration of training workflows within a production test environment for a major aerospace OEM. This onsite role focuses on aligning Manufacturing Execution System (MES) training content with actual hands-on test and production work.

The ideal candidate will help bridge the gap between digital systems and physical work execution, ensuring training progression and qualifications are accurately tracked through MES. The role is central to maintaining quality, compliance, and schedule performance in a regulated aerospace production environment.

Key Responsibilities

MES Training Development & Integration

• Design and configure training workflows, learning objects, and qualification paths within a structured MES environment
• Translate shop floor processes (e.g., routers, tooling, work instructions) into integrated training modules
• Ensure training completion is triggered, tracked, and validated based on actual production work
  
  

Manufacturing Process & Work Instruction Support

• Author and maintain work instructions tied to skill development checkpoints
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineers, Quality Engineers, and production teams to validate training content and compliance
  
  

Tracking & Analytics

• Configure MES data to monitor individual and team training progression
• Generate reports and dashboards to highlight training gaps and support compliance tracking

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or relevant field
• Experience with manufacturing and quality engineering processes in a shop floor and production environment
• Aerospace or defense industry background, ideally in test or build operations
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles / industrial engineering best practices
• Ability to work onsite and interface directly with operations teams
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to influence teams and drive change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) - particularly in aerospace production
• Prior exposure to Boeing Defense Systems
