Manager - IT Apps Development

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Summary:

The Manager of Software Development analyzes current technical and operational processes along with existing technology platforms. Responsible for organizing, planning and resolving issues influencing the successful completion of assigned projects. Possesses skills in negotiation, presentation, collaboration and relationship management to be able to develop solutions that meet the needs of the business while delivering high performing integrated solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple development groups and engage with many business units
• Responsible for task prioritization and resource allocation.
• Responsible for capital project planning, estimation, and forecasting.
• Career path development for team members including gap analysis of team's strengths and weaknesses to determine areas for growth.
• Support and maintenance budgeting.
• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
  
  

Requirements: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills and abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below.

• 8 years of experience, including 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory or management position
• BA or BS in MIS, CIS or relevant work experience
• Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
• Technical problem solving and troubleshooting
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft development landscape and web development
• Experience delivering custom developed enterprise solutions
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• ITIL Foundation certification preferred
• PMP Certification preferred
• Experience in O&G preferred, specifically in the Operational aspect of the industry
• Strong understanding of the following technologies
• ASP.NET MVC
• JavaScript
• SQL Server
• Azure Dev Ops
  
  

Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
