Job Title: Mainframe Developer – COBOL/CICS (Automotive Finance)

Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid - 4 days)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL/CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ, along with domain experience in Automotive Finance. The role involves application development, production support, and performance optimization across multiple enterprise-level systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application development and production support for large-scale mainframe applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including batch and online abends
• Analyze and optimize daily/monthly batch processes to improve efficiency and reduce processing windows
• Perform impact analysis across multiple systems and platforms
• Deliver technical design, development, and estimation documentation
• Participate in on-call support for batch processes during off-hours
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• COBOL
• CICS
• DB2
• JCL
• IBM MQ
• Experience in mainframe development production support environment
• Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills for batch and online systems
• Familiarity with unit testing practices
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Automotive Finance industry
• Exposure to FIS Systematics (A plus but not Mandatory)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
