Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Paralegal, your primary duties will include:
- Managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
- Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Coordinating and managing medical records, bills, and lien reductions.
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, judicial personnel, and others.
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintaining organized case files and tracking deadlines.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to case strategy discussions.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on personal injury cases.
- A paralegal certificate or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in legal research, with a strong understanding of personal injury law and civil procedure.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, attorneys, and others.
- Proficiency in the use of legal software and technology, including case management software, e-discovery platforms, and legal research tools.
- A proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to take initiative and work well under pressure.
- A commitment to providing exceptional client service, with the ability to empathize with clients and advocate for their interests.
