Responsibilities
As a Litigation Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Representing clients in all stages of insurance defense litigation, from inception to resolution.
- Conducting thorough legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Engaging in discovery, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions.
- Developing case strategies based on the review and analysis of evidence and legal precedent.
- Managing relationships with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and court staff.
- Preparing for and participating in trials, hearings, mediations, and settlements.
- Advising clients on their legal rights, obligations, and potential liabilities.
- Staying abreast of current trends and changes in insurance defense litigation.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction.
- Participating in professional development activities to maintain and enhance legal knowledge and skills.
The ideal candidate for the Litigation Associate Attorney position will possess the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of cases independently and effectively.
- Proven track record of achieving favorable results for clients in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
