Job Title: L2 Network Engineer – Cradlepoint (Primary) | Cisco | Juniper

Plano, TX

Contract/ Full Time

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cradlepoint (LTE/5G, NetCloud) and working knowledge of Cisco and Juniper technologies. The role involves supporting enterprise WAN/SD-WAN environments, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 support for Cradlepoint routers (LTE/5G, NetCloud Manager)
  • Troubleshoot WAN, cellular, and failover issues (latency, packet loss, jitter)
  • Support routing/switching (Cisco) and firewall environments (Cisco/Meraki, Juniper SRX)
  • Handle incident tickets, perform triage, and meet SLA targets
  • Assist with device onboarding (ZTP) and configuration management
  • Coordinate with telecom carriers for escalations

Required Skills:

  • Cradlepoint NetCloud, LTE/5G networking
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN (IPSec/GRE)
  • Cisco (Routing & Switching, Meraki)
  • Juniper (SRX, JunOS basics)
  • ITSM tools (ServiceNow)

Experience:

  • 3–6 years in NOC/Network Operations/MSP environment

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cradlepoint / CCNA / JNCIA
