Job Description Java Tech Lead (Healthcare / Insurance Domain)

Piscataway, NJ HYBRID from day one

Long Term Contract on W2

End client: Illumifin (through SYNECHRON)

We are looking for a Java Tech Lead with experience in Healthcare or Insurance domain applications. The candidate will lead development activities, support technical design, and work closely with business and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Java development projects
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements
• Guide junior developers and conduct code reviews
• Develop and consume REST APIs and microservices
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and delivery planning
• Ensure application quality, performance, and security standards
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and backend development
• Knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools
• Experience with Healthcare or Insurance applications
• Understanding of Agile methodology
• Good communication and leadership skills
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS or cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Kafka or messaging systems
• Familiarity with Healthcare/Insurance workflows like claims, enrollment, policy, or member management
  
  

Experience

• 10 years of overall IT experience
• 4 years in a Tech Lead role
  
  

Education

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
