Job Title: IBM MQ & IBM ACE Developer / Middleware Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid Local candidates preferred)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Visa: /H1B
Responsibilities
Install, configure, monitor, and maintain IBM MQ and IBM ACE platforms (on-prem and cloud).
Support application teams in creating, testing, and implementing integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across middleware and messaging platforms (including Kafka and RabbitMQ).
Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
Ensure stability, scalability, and compliance of messaging platforms with enterprise security standards.
Perform proactive monitoring, backup/recovery, patch management, clustering, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide middleware/integration services.
Participate in on-call support rotation to address incidents and platform issues.
Required Skills
IBM MQ & IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise/IIB): 5 7 years
Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Chef): 1 2 years
AWS Messaging Services (SQS, SNS, Amazon MQ): 1 2 years
Kafka & RabbitMQ: 1 2 years (general experience acceptable)
Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization skills
Hands-on experience with Linux platforms (RedHat, Amazon Linux)
