We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer I to join our engineering team in Florence, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical hardware design, cable and harness development, and CAD tools such as E3 Series, PTC Creo Parametric, and Pro Cable. This role requires onsite collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain electrical design documentation for complex products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable/harness drawings using E3 Series.
- Develop cable assemblies and routing designs utilizing Pro Cable within PTC Creo Parametric.
- Generate and manage 3D models and associated design documentation using Creo 10 or higher.
- Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Support product development activities from concept through production.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design compatibility.
- Perform design updates and engineering change activities.
- Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support during prototype and production phases.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and company requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 1–3 years of hardware design or electrical engineering experience.
- Proficiency with E3 Series for schematic and wiring design.
- Strong experience with PTC Creo Parametric.
- Hands-on experience with Pro Cable module.
- Experience using Creo 10 or higher.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
