NCDIT-T WEB Systems Team is seeking a Front End Web Designer/Developer that will support the ongoing UX design and front-end development and support needs for enterprise web application and web site solutions developed for NCDOT and NCDMV.
The primary focus is to build and support accessible web UI components and support user experience consistency across enterprise web solutions.
The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to ensure that critical NCDOT and NCDMV web applications remain accessible, consistent, and adequately supported, and without this supplemental staffing, growing UX and front‑end demands will outpace capacity, delay key business processes and risking diminished service quality.
Role/Responsibilities:
JavaScript and TypeScript proficiency
Vue.js
State management with signals or reactive stores
Web performance optimization
Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 ) best practices
User experience design
Integration w/systems like SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc.
AI-assisted development and workflow automation
Website Accessibility testing
Semantic HTML structure and accessibility foundations

- The candidate will need to come on-site on the first day to collect equipment.
- All candidates must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina.
- This position may require on‑site attendance when business needs warrant in‑person participation, such as scheduled meetings or other task‑specific activities.
