Job Overview:
- The Client is redesigning the NYC Secure App and related public campaign to help New Yorkers prevent scam phone calls and text messages, educate vulnerable populations, and provide support resources for victims.
- The role will lead both product management and project coordination across engineering, design, cybersecurity, 311, and digital equity teams.
Lead product management for the NYC Secure App by defining requirements, features, roadmap, build/test/launch strategy, and ensuring timely delivery across teams and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define functional and technical requirements for the app rebuild, including call/text filtering engine
- Establish KPIs such as scam-block accuracy and user adoption goals
- Coordinate with 311 for resource page content and workflow alignment
- Manage integration into the existing nyc.gov ecosystem
- Ensure privacy and security compliance
- Support user research, especially for elderly and immigrant New Yorkers
- Create a milestone-based roadmap including beta, info-page launch, and public rollout
- Identify and mitigate project, technical, and user adoption risks
- 8 years of experience as a Product Manager or in technical leadership
- Experience leading the design/build of responsive websites and applications
- Experience launching products using user-centered design practices
- Experience defining product requirements and success metrics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Data privacy and governance expertise
- Experience launching scaled consumer-facing products
