Comtech is seeking a NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a highly technical contract resource for NC FAST (Families Accessing Services through Technology). This position will serve as an Network Engineer to support applications hosted in the cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-Prem.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
R1.
Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization(5 Years of Experience)
R2.
Experience with routers, routing protocols, transit gateways, load balancing, and overall cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routes, security(3 Years of Experience)
R3.
Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment.(5 Years of Experience)
R4.
Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies.(5 Years of Experience)
R5
Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.(3 Years of Experience)
R6
Experience with name services and resolution, associated IP assignments.
R7
Knowledge of core network services (including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies)
R8
Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues.

Self-motivated with a strong team-oriented and collaborative attitude.

- Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security.
- Create firewall rules for environments.
- Assist the Operations and cloud team as requested.
- Maintain and keep track of all technical duties related to cloud networking such as design, implementation, and support.
- Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput, slowness, and unexpected latency.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
