Equipment Manager / MES Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Manager / MES Engineer to support semiconductor manufacturing operations by managing production equipment, optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and driving factory automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in equipment engineering, MES platforms, equipment integration, and manufacturing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage installation, qualification, maintenance, and performance of manufacturing equipment.
• Support and enhance MES applications to improve production efficiency and traceability.
• Integrate manufacturing equipment using SECS/GEM, GEM300, and factory automation protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment and MES issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process, quality, and IT teams to support production operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment uptime, yield, and throughput.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering, MES, or factory automation.
• Hands-on experience with MES platforms such as Camstar, Opcenter, SAP ME, FactoryWorks, or Critical Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SECS/GEM, GEM300, SQL, and manufacturing systems integration.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred:

• Semiconductor wafer fab, assembly, test, or advanced packaging experience.
• Experience with Python, C#, or automation scripting.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing solutions.
